

Manchester United announce Erik ten Hag's coaching staff

Manchester United have confirmed the appointments of Mitchell van der Gaag and Steve McClaren to new head coach Erik ten Hag’s backroom staff.
The Dutchman will be officially unveiled as the new man in charge later today but ahead of his first press conference, the club have announced who will join his team.
Both were in attendance at the club’s final game of the season against Crystal Palace and have worked with Ten Hag successfully in the past.
Van der Gaag served as assistant to Ten Hag at Ajax last year, while also previously being in charge of the club’s reserve side.
McClaren has also been an assistant manager at Old Trafford in the past, winning the Premier League in each of his three seasons alongside Sir Alex Ferguson.
