Manchester United lead race to sign Boubacar Kamara ahead of Real Madrid and Barcelona

According to Marca in English, Manchester United are in the lead to sign Boubacar Kamara ahead of Real Madrid and Barcelona in the January transfer window. He plays a crucial role in midfield for Marseille and would be a great acquisition for any club due to his calibre.

Kamara has entered the final six months of his current deal, and he could reach a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs over a summer move. At the same time, he would be available at a cut-price valuation if any side wishes to try their luck this month. Man United have already enquired about his availability as they look to bring him to Old Trafford in this winter window.

Ralf Rangnick is keen on solidifying the centre of the pitch, which has apparently prompted the Red Devils to go down this route. Real and Barca are also vying for the 22-year-old’s services alongside other Premier League clubs such as West Ham United and Newcastle United. However, it is believed that the Manchester club is in pole position to get his signature.

Get this transfer done!

Since we are ahead of the competition at this point, the board should look to put this matter to bed and not let other suitors get a sniff of the talented midfielder. We are also running short of time since deadline day is not far, with less than a week left in the window.

Both La Liga heavyweights could pose a big threat to us if we take them lightly, plus we cannot overlook the interest from England as well. As such, the management should sign the Frenchman at the earliest and back Rangnick by giving him the midfield reinforcements he may be demanding at this instant.

The team shifted to a 4-3-3 formation in recent games, with Scott McTominay seemingly playing as the single defensive midfielder while Fred plays as the box-to-box midfielder. That leaves Nemanja Matic as one of the only options in the number 6 position, which is not a great look since he is clearly past his prime. Donny van de Beek, on the other hand, is clearly not favoured to start games on a regular basis by Rangnick.

Paul Pogba is out on the sideline right now, but his long term future with us is still uncertain, giving more reasons to bring the Ligue 1 ace this month itself. It remains to be seen how this situation will pan out in the coming days as we near the closing stages of the transfer window. Fans would be hopeful of acquiring his services since it would be a boost in our pursuit of a top-four finish this season.

Kamara can play as a number 6 and is an able player off the ball. At 22, he has a long way to go before he approaches his peak years and it is often a wise option to bring in and hone the talent of a talented young player, rather than waiting for him to approach his prime and then spend even bigger bucks on him.
