However, United were being held back from completing their signings as they were waiting to offload Aaron Wan-Bissaka to West Ham United.

Nevertheless, the deal with the Hammers is set to be confirmed imminently, which has allowed the Red Devils to agree on a double swoop for de Ligt and Mazraoui.

It is understood that Der Rekordmeister will receive €45 million, with €5 million in future add-ons for de Ligt, while they will then receive a further €15 million, with €5 million in add-ons for Mazraoui.

As well as this, it is believed that de Ligt will sign a five-year deal at Old Trafford, with the potential for an extra year.

As of yet, it is unknown as to the length of contract Mazraoui will sign for United, but the outcome of the deal is dependent on whether Wan-Bisska passes his medical at West Ham in the coming days.
