Manchester United have agreed a new four-year contract with defender Luke Shaw, reports The Athletic’s David Ornstein.
Shaw’s current deal at Old Trafford is due to expire in 2024, and it seems an agreement over the 27-year-old’s future at the club is close to being reached.
The England left-back has been in great form this season, playing 35 matches in all competitions, scoring one goal and registering six assists. At times he has also operated as a centre-back under Erik ten Hag.
United already triggered a one-year extension to Shaw’s contract back in December, but his importance to the team means there has been a desire to tie him down long-term.
An official announcement from the club is expected in the coming days.
