OneFootball Videos

Andre Onana 5 – Didn’t have an awful lot to do today but was well and truly beaten for Pablo Sarabia’s free-kick effort.

Noussair Mazraoui 6.5 – Defended well and made some good runs going forward. Passing was good and he helped neutralise the threat of Matheus Cunha.

Victor Lindelof 6.5 – Led well from the heart of the three-man defence. Had a good battle with Jørgen Strand Larsen and came out on top.

Tyler Fredricson 8 – Top debut! Before the match, Ruben Amorim highlighted his composure as one of his biggest strengths and this was evident against Wolves. Barely put a foot wrong and looked like a seasoned professional out there. Made a very good tackle on one occasion to keep Cunha from going through.

Patrick Dorgu 6 – Decent performance. Aimed two brilliant crosses from the right but there were no takers.

Manuel Ugarte 7 – Did well in collecting the ball from the defence and spreading it out. Good when carrying the ball and busy in the middle of the park, as is usually the case.

Christian Eriksen 5 – Forced Dan Bentley into two good saves in the first half – once directly from the corner and then from a free-kick routine. A few sloppy moments on the ball and conceded the foul in a dangerous area, from which Wolves took the lead.

Harry Amass 7 – Very good display at left-wing-back. Sensational on the ball and delivered a number of excellent crosses that were begging to be finished. Solid defensively, the highlight of which was a moment that saw him dispossess Nelson Semedo and snuff out a Wolves attack.

Alejandro Garnacho 7 – Drew so many fouls, as the Wolves players found it hard to contain him. Good running with the ball and helped United push higher up the pitch. Linked up nicely with Amass, and that flank appeared to be United’s primary source of threat. Put in a sumptuous low-cross for Hojlund but the Dane couldn’t connect.

Kobbie Mainoo 6 – Not very involved but he created a couple of chances and even had a pop at goal but just dragged his effort wide.

Rasmus Hojlund 4 – A slight improvement on how he has played over the past few weeks but still not good enough in terms of attacking the goal and being dangerous. Wasn’t there to turn in some good balls from Amass and Dorgu and then when Garnacho created a golden opportunity for him, he wasted it. Could have made all the difference today.

Substitutes

Bruno Fernandes 7 – Made a bit of a difference, lifting up United who up until that point, were lacking in creativity. Had one or two half-chances but couldn’t hit the target.

Mason Mount 6 – Energetic and helped United’s press. Could have drawn his side level but aimed his effort over the bar.

Diogo Dalot 5 – OK. Picked up where Dorgu left off.

Chido Obi 5 – Some top hold-up of the ball and link-up play.

Leny Yoro 5 – OK during the limited time he was on.
