The departure of the quartet comes after captain Steph Houghton confirmed her retirement from the game.

Goalkeeper Roebuck made 136 appearances in all competitions, her tally of 62 clean sheets in sky blue only bettered by Karen Bardsley.

Demi Stokes is one of only three players to make over 200 appearances since City’s professional relaunch, as well as being their longest-serving defender other than Steph Houghton..

England U-23 midfielder Mace joined from Arsenal in the summer of 2021, going on to make 29 appearances across the following three seasons, including a successful loan spell at Leicester City.

Fellow midfielder Angeldahl also made the move to City at the beginning of the 2021/22 campaign, featuring 69 times across the following three years during which she scored a number of stunning goals.
