Manchester City will lock horns with Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium this Saturday afternoon as both sides look to go all out in search of the three points. Man City managed to earn a dominant 6-0 win over Burnley before the international break. In contrast, the Reds suffered a 1-0 loss away at Real Madrid in their last outing, so they will be low on confidence ahead of this game.
Pep Guardiola will set his side up in a 4-3-3 formation and could ask his men to dominate the ball and engineer enough clear-cut chances to win this game convincingly at the Etihad.
Jurgen Klopp will opt for a 4-3-3 formation as well and might instruct his players to defend their penalty box well and try to catch the opposition off-guard on the counter.
Manchester City
Phil Foden will be sidelined for this game. Erling Haaland is also a major doubt for this clash as he is still recovering from an injury problem.
Manchester City Predicted XI
Ederson; Walker, Stones, Dias, Ake; De Bruyne, Rodri, Gundogan; Bernardo, Haaland, Grealish

Liverpool
Thiago Alcantara and Stefan Bajcetic won’t be available for selection this weekend as they are out of action with injuries.
Darwin Nunez and Kostas Tsimikas are both significant concerns ahead of this clash.
Liverpool Predicted XI
Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Henderson, Fabinho, Elliott; Salah, Gakpo, Nunez
Manchester City
If Haaland starts, he will be Man City’s best weapon in the final third. The defensive performance of John Stones and Ruben Dias could go a long way in determining the fate of this important clash in Manchester.
Liverpool
Mohamed Salah will be Liverpool’s main hope for a goal this weekend. The Egyptian winger has to figure out a way to make a difference for them away at Man City.
Klopp would depend on Virgil Van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate to put in a solid performance defensively if the Reds are to stand a chance of earning something from this tough game on the road.
