Officials at Manchester City and within the Etihad Stadium have once again been handed fine reading when it comes to the annual revenue data publicised by Deloitte.
Over the last few years, the Etihad Stadium club has continuously risen up the rankings when it comes to revenue earned through the traditional streams of matchday income, broadcast deals, and commercial agreements.
Back in 2019, Manchester City found themselves in fifth position in Deloitte’s rankings for team revenue, behind the likes of FC Barcelona, Manchester United, and Bayern Munich. However, their growing on-field success has exchanged into financial growth.
With a number of other Premier League titles to their name since then, and the impact of European success in the UEFA Champions League coupled with high-profile signings including Erling Haaland, City are now consistently challenging for the number one spot.
The release of data in 2023 saw Manchester City top the leaderboard for revenue generation, since dropping down to second place behind La Liga giants Real Madrid, and remaining in that position in the latest release of information from Deloitte.
According to their data for 2025, Manchester City banked a remarkable €837.8 million in revenue across the 2023/24 season, making them their highest revenue generating football club in England.
It is once again a fine reflection of the best-in-class structure that Manchester City and their hierarchy have put in place to further strengthen their position within the game, alongside the consistent growth of their first-team.
As City put together a rebuild of their squad over the coming transfer windows, alongside the retention of Pep Guardiola as first-team head coach, club bosses will be confident that the club will not be displaced in being the highest revenue generating English team.
