Pedro Lima is one of the most highly-rated youngsters from Brazil at present. He worked hard to climb up the ladder in Brazil’s football hierarchy. He broke into Sport Recife’s senior team after his impressive performances at the youth level.

Lima has featured in 24 games this season, netting two goals and as many assists in the process. He is a tough defender to pass on as he doesn’t shy away from tackles. He reads the danger well and often clears the ball whenever required.
The Brazilian kid is a decent dribbler with the ball and likes to join the attack. He has got good shooting power and accuracy. However, he needs to work on his decision-making in the final third. If nourished well, the youngster can do wonders for any top-tier side.
Manchester City have intensified the process of acquiring hot talents over the past few seasons. They have been showing high interest in procuring South American talents. They recently sealed the services of Claudio Echeverri for £12.5 million, who will join them from River Plate late this year.
Echeverri was their third recent signing from South America, the other two being Maximo Perrone and Julian Alvarez. The Citizens’ alleged interest in Pedro Lima is no different as the club firmly believe in the youngster’s abilities.
They want to make early moves for Lima as rivals Liverpool and Chelsea are also keeping tabs on the player. The 77-year-old defender has a €12 million release clause, which shouldn’t be a big deal for the PL champions.
