Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal, West Ham, Leicester, Leeds, Everton and Newcastle were all in the top 20.

A further five English top-flight clubs were placed within 21 and 30 in the league table.

City had an incredibly successful year both on and off the pitch, with the publication of the Deloitte Football Money League highlighting the “revenue superiority” of English clubs compared to the rest of Europe.

Speaking in November following the publication of Manchester City’s annual report, CEO Ferran Soriano said: “Our strong revenue performance was due to multiple factors, but ultimately driven by the ‘beautiful football’ we play and the continuous fan growth that it generates; more fans, more audiences, more people in the stadium, and more partners that want to be commercially associated with Manchester City.”
