Southampton secured a place back in the Premier League courtesy of a nervy 1-0 win over Leeds United at Wembley, with Adam Armstrong proving the difference between the two sides.
It will see them net a massive £170m from what is commonly known as the most lucrative game of football in England, and they are set to part with some of that immediately.
That comes as their promotion has also triggered the option to buy Manchester City defender Taylor Harwood-Bellis, who started at the heart of defence in the play-off showpiece.
The option, valued at £20m, was contingent on promotion and means that the centre-back will remain on the south coast for the years to come.
For City, it is welcome funds as they look to bolster their ranks once more this summer.
