Blackburn Rovers have completed the signing of Manchester City midfielder Jemima Dahou on a dual-registration arrangement.

The Lancashire club announced the news via a post on their official club website this morning.

The teenager will spend the remainder of the 2023/2024 season with Blackburn Rovers. The move will see the player gain the benefit of regular first team football in the Barclays Women’s Championship.

Dahou has come through the youth ranks at Manchester City and she made her senior debut for the club in a Women’s FA Cup tie at Nottingham Forest in the 2021/2022 season. The midfielder has since gone on to add a couple more senior appearances to her tally while she netted her first goal for The Cityzens in an 8-1 Women’s FA Cup victory at Bristol City last season. The youngster will provide another useful option for Blackburn Rovers head coach Simon Parker as his side look to continue their growth in the second tier.

It is thought that Dahou could go straight into the Blackburn Rovers squad for this afternoon’s Barclays Women’s Championship fixture against Southampton at St Mary’s Stadium. The Lancashire club will be hoping for a successful trip to the South Coast off the back of last weekend’s impressive home victory over Birmingham City.
