City, who beat Barcelona and Chelsea to the signature of 18-year-old Argentina and River Plate midfielder Claudio Echeverri in January, have made numerous recent additions from around the globe.

City Football Group scouting has predominately seen deals take place from South America, however the Middle East could become the latest destination of interest to Etihad chiefs, amid rumoured interest in Besiktas teenager Semih Kılıçsoy.

The 18-year-old, who signed a new deal until 2028 in January, has impressed in the Turkish top-flight this season, registering 10 direct goal involvements in 17 league appearances for Besiktas.

Premier League side Tottenham have been credited with ‘keen’ interest in the teenage forward, but Sport Witness relay claims from Turkey that Manchester City are amongst an emerging seven-club battle for the player.

Kılıçsoy has reportedly recently been watched by clubs including Arsenal, Manchester City, Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, Juventus and Napoli.

Scouts are reported to have watched the teenager during a recent 1-0 win over Galatasaray, with Besiktas hopeful of sparking a bidding war for the signature of the striker.

Kılıçsoy, who has also featured in the UEFA Europa Conference League this season, has been subject to strong interest from Spurs, with the north London club still looking to replace Harry Kane, who moved to Bayern Munich last summer.

Manchester City have both Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez as options up front, but are expected to be in the market for another forward this summer.
