Manchester City have ‘no interest’ in signing Kalidou Koulibaly despite reports from Italy insisting as such.
A story in Tuttosport on Friday revealed that Pep Guardiola was keen on the Napoli centre-back with City preparing a €120m offer.
They claimed that the Premier League champions were ready to break the world record for a defender, and add Koulibaly to their already stacked squad.
However the Daily Mail has contradicted those rumours by insisting that the 26-year-old is not part of City’s summer plans, and instead they are focusing their efforts on Harry Maguire.
Maguire is likely to be a slightly cheaper option for the Citizens, with Leicester looking for a fee in the region of €80m.
Koulibaly, meanwhile, has been linked with both Manchester United and Real Madrid.
