Manchester City fans with classic comments ahead of Newcastle United match – You have to laugh | OneFootball

Manchester City fans are not in the best of moods.

Less than three weeks ago they lost to Liverpool in their FA Cup semi-final, then Wednesday night saw them bow out of the Champions League in a thrilling (for the rest of us!) finale.

Now the mighty Newcastle United stand in their way.

It is hilarious how so many Manchester City fans are expecting the worst, when up against a side that they have defeated the last twelve times in the Premier League at the Etihad.

As panic sets in, even more bizarre when it comes to some of their desperate claims.

Some Manchester City fans claiming that that Newcastle United will try a lot harder because it is them and not Liverpool, referencing last weekend’s game at St James Park.

Newcastle may have lost 1-0 but I didn’t see any lack of effort…whilst Manchester City fans must have VERY short memories when they can’t even recall the last time NUFC lost at home in the Premier League before that loss to Liverpool, a certain 4-0 home defeat to….Manchester City!

As for those short memories, you have to really laugh at the doom and gloom amongst so many Manchester City fans, the trouble is that they are so used to winning week after week, they have no sense of perspective when they lose the (very!) odd match.
