Liverpool will face Manchester City at Anfield on the 3rd of October.

However, the Citizens will be without both Aymeric Laporte and John Stones for the Premier League clash, according to The Telegraph, as cited by The Daily Mail.

The centre-back duo are recovering from respective injuries.

Laporte and Stones not being available for the clash at Anfield is not ideal for Manchester City. Both centre-backs are solid footballers.

Laporte possesses a current market value of €45 million. Stones on the other hand was named in the 2020-21 PFA Premier League Team of the Year.

Liverpool currently sit in second-place on the Premier League table. Manchester City are sitting in fifth-place on the table.

The Reds have had a slightly better start to the new season in comparison to the Citizens. But, Manchester City are the reigning champions after all.

Therefore, even without Laporte and Stones, they are still a good side. Liverpool will have to be at their best to defeat Manchester City in a couple of weeks time.
