Manchester City have completed the signing of highly-rated teenager Harrison Parker from rivals Manchester United.

The City Football Academy have responded to Manchester United’s decision to sign Darren Fletcher’s twin sons Jack and Tyler, with a deal to sign highly-rated centre-back Harrison Parker.

The 17-year-old, who was part of the Arsenal academy set-up prior to signing for Manchester United, rejected an offer of a four-year deal at Old Trafford to move to the City Football Academy.

Parker made one U18s Premier League appearance last season, and will join a Manchester City academy which are building a new highly-talented squad, after a series of major sales during the summer transfer window.

Cole Palmer, James Trafford, Shea Charles, Carlos Borges and Tommy Doyle were amongst the Manchester City academy stars to leave the City Football Academy, with Palmer moving to Chelsea for a club-record £42.5 million.

Meanwhile, Rico Lewis, starred for Manchester City during the UEFA Champions League victory over RB Leipzig in midweek, becoming the latest graduate of the Blues’ academy to become a key member of the first-team squad.

Oscar Bobb has also joined Pep Guardiola’s team from the academy for the campaign, meanwhile Phil Foden made his 229th appearance for the Manchester City first-team on Wednesday evening.

Harrison Parker became the Blues’ latest signing this week, and is one of a two players to sign for the City Football Academy from Premier League rivals.

Manchester City have also recently finalised a deal for former West Ham prodigy Divine Mukasa, who helped the Hammers’ U18 squad to a league and cup double.

West Ham were reportedly ‘desperate’ to keep hold of the teenager, but Musaka has opted to move to the City Football Academy alongside Parker.
