Manchester City backup goalkeeper Stefan Ortega is set to be called up for Germany’s upcoming Nations League matches against Bosnia and Herzegovina and Hungary, according to a report in BILD.
The 32-year-old made the move to Manchester back in 2022 from Arminia Bielefeld, and deputised for Éderson in nine Premier League outings last term.
This season, the stopper has featured in the two Champions League wins over Slovan Bratislava and Sparta Prague without having conceded a goal.
Ortega's call from boss Julian Nagelsmann will be the first of his career, while the report suggests that Janis Blaswich of RB Salzburg will miss out.
