Dean Jones, in his report for Give Me Sport, has revealed that Tottenham are interested in signing Jack Grealish from Manchester City but will face competition due to his high wages, which are around £300,000-a-week, Spurs can afford up to £200,000-a-week age. So, that is one big problem for the side.
Grealish has gone down the pecking order at Manchester City this season due to his inconsistent performances. A lot was expected from him when he moved to the Etihad in a high-profile move from Aston Villa. However, this season, he has not received enough minutes on the first team. However, his quality has still kept a lot of clubs attracted towards him.
He is renowned for his unique quality skill, flair, and tenacity. His exceptional ball control and low center of gravity allow him to glide past defenders with ease, often drawing fouls—evidenced by his knack for winning free kicks. Grealish’s vision and precise passing make him a creative force, unlocking defenses with incisive through balls.

His versatility shines whether deployed as a winger or attacking midfielder, combining dribbling prowess with a tireless work rate. Despite occasional criticism for goal output, his ability to influence games through flair and intelligence cements him as a standout talent. Therefore, he still is a very good signing for any club.
Tottenham want to sign him given that there are doubts about the long-term future of Richarlison and Son Heung-min. Moreover, Son’s impact has also reduced this season, and hence they want a fresh quality to lead their attack. Moreover, Spurs were even interested in him when he was playing for Villa.
Grealish has failed to score any goal in the Premier League 2024/25 season so far. He has played in 16 matches this season in the Premier League, playing a total of 605 minutes. So, it is in the best interests of Manchester City to facilitate the move of the player in this summer and raise the funds, given that his contract with the club ends in the summer of 2027.
