Manchester City are reportedly ready to let Oleksandr Zinchenko leave the club this summer but only on a permanent deal.
Reports in Spain on Thursday suggested that Real Betis were interested in signing the Ukraine international but wanted to take the 21-year-old on a season-long loan with an option to buy.
The Manchester Evening News though, insist that City, although keen to see Zinchenko leave, only want cold hard cash.
The versatile midfielder had looked to be on his way to Wolves earlier this month, but saw the move collapse at the last minute thanks to the player getting cold feet.
It’s claimed that Zinchenko would be willing to move to Spain, but so far talks between Pep Guardiola’s side and the Verdiblancos have hit a brick wall.
The Premier League champions want upwards of €20m for the youngster, however Betis, if forced into a permanent move, would only be willing to spend €12m.
The deadline for clubs in Spain to buy players is August 31.
