Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain both showed interest in signing AS Monaco’s Maghnes Akliouche (23) last summer. However, the France youth international opted to remain at his formative club, even signing an extension until 2028.

The time may have come for the playmaker to leave the Principality club. His departure is expected with Adi Hütter and Thiago Scuro both publicly admitting that offers are expected. Monaco will not stand in his way, whilst Akliouche himself was evasive when questioned about his future in a press conference attended by Get French Football News earlier this week.

“I am not thinking about [my future]. I am focused on the next six matches. It is perhaps at the end of the season that the question (about my future) about my future will be asked, I think,” he said. The Frenchman also recently changed agencies.

L’Équipe understands that PSG and Manchester City have retained their interest in Akliouche and having failed to bring in Mohamed Salah, who has extended at Liverpool, Les Parisiens are lining up a summer move for the Monaco forward.
