Chelsea and Manchester City are interested in signing Arsenal attacking midfielder Ethan Nwaneri, reports the Telegraph.

The 15-year-old became the youngest player in Premier League history when he came on against Brentford last September.

Nwaneri is on the radar of several clubs, and both Man City and the Blues are keeping tabs.

Arsenal could lose the England youth international and will hope they can get him to sign a deal.

The teenage sensation made his debut for the Gunners under-18s aged 14.

He bagged a cracker that day against Reading and is highly rated by the north London club.

Nwaneri featured for Mikel Arteta’s side against Slough Town in a pre-season friendly.

Arsenal are hoping he will follow in the footsteps of the likes of Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe.

However, holding on to their academy starlet could prove tricky.

Nwaneri joined the Gunners aged nine and has grown through their youth ranks.

He has featured for their under-18s and under-21s this term and has attracted scouts.

While Nwaneri is primarily a number 10, he can play on both wings and in a box-to-box role.

Arsenal need to guarantee him a clear pathway to first-team football to keep him.

It appears the teenager is unimpressed with their current offer. Man City and Chelsea have plenty of attackers in their senior ranks.

As a result, Nwaneri could struggle to break into their first teams.

However, their financial offers could be better than Arsenal’s, which could have a say on his decision.

The youngster is highly talented and should take plenty of sporting options into consideration before making a decision.
