Manchester City want to sign a new full-back this summer and have added Tottenham Hotspur’s Destiny Udogie to the shortlist.

Udogie is a player of interest to Pep Guardiola, who could seek additions in both full-back positions.

Kyle Walker, who is currently on loan at AC Milan, is expected to leave on a permanent basis, while first-choice left-back Josko Gvardiol’s long-term future is seen centrally. City have also used midfielder Matheus Nunes as a makeshift right-back for much of the current campaign.

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Udogie is one of the players being considered. However, Spurs view the Italy international as a key player and would demand a big fee for the player. The 22-year-old ranks in the top eight percent of full-backs in the Premier League this season for progressive passes, tackles and blocks per 90 minutes.

City also hold an interest in Juventus defender Andrea Cambiaso. The Citizens enquired into the Italian’s availability during the January transfer window and remain keen. Cambiaso’s comfortability on either flank make the 25-year-old an attractive option, though Juventus value the full-back at around €70m.
