Manchester City winger Oscar Bobb has admitted it’s a dream to play with Arsenal’s Martin Odegaard on international duty.

Oscar Bobb and Martin Odegaard will be on opposite sides when Arsenal travel to take on Manchester City on Sunday, but the two played together for Norway over the international break.

20-year-old Bobb made his debut for the senior national side on October, and he’s since shared the pitch with Odegaard four times, including twice over the March international break.

Speaking to Norwegian TV about that opportunity, Bobb was clearly delighted to link up with his club rival.

“It is a dream to play with Martin,” Bobb said (via Metro). “Having one of the world’s best No.10s next to me makes it much easier.”

Bobb and Odegaard started alongside fellow Manchester City player Erling Haaland in both Norway matches over the international break.

The youngest of the trio was the only one to get on the scoresheet, with Bobb netting against the Czech Republic, whilst Haaland missed a penalty and another big chance against Slovakia, and Odegaard hit the bar in the same game.

Odegaard helped to create multiple chances for Bobb against Slovakia in particular, and the youngster perhaps should have converted one or two.

It’s unlikely Bobb will be involved from the start on Sunday, having only made one Premier League start all season and coming off after an hour.

By contrast, Manchester City and Arsenal will both be relying on their star Norwegians Haaland and Odegaard to try and win this weekend’s top-of-the-table clash for them.
