Lewes manager Scott Booth will leave his position at the end of the current season.

The Rooks announced the news via a post on their official club website this afternoon.

The Scot was appointed Lewes manager in summer 2022. He guided the Sussex club to a ninth-place finish in the Barclays Women’s Championship last season. Booth has faced a more difficult challenge this term with Lewes battling against relegation to FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division.

Booth has two games remaining to save Lewes from the drop and leave on a high. The Rooks are three points adrift of safety. Lewes’ final two games see them play host to title-chasing Crystal Palace before travelling to London City Lionesses.

After his scheduled departure was confirmed, Booth said “I’ve been grateful to have the opportunity to manage at Lewes FC. I’d like to thank everyone at the club for their huge commitment and efforts over the last two seasons, especially the office staff, the performance staff and the players.”

Lewes will not begin their search for a new manager until their fate has been decided. Best case scenario, Lewes will go into the final day of the season still having a chance of survival.
