Mohammed Kudus‘ long term future at West Ham appears to be looking on the bleak side according to reports.
The Ghana international, who the club signed in the summer of 2023 from Ajax, is being regularly linked with a move away from east London at the end of the season.
Arsenal are understood to be one of the clubs seriously interested in the player, however West Ham would command a fee of around £85m – which would see an outstanding return on the £50m forked out for the winger.
Although losing someone of Kudus’ quality would be tough to take, the facts are that West Ham need to embrace a model of making money on players to reinvest in the team – something others like Brighton manage very successfully.
Kudus also appears to be a player not overly content at present, with a clear drop in form and discipline this season, since the arrival of Head Coach Julen Lopetegui.
Should Lopetegui depart, which is ultimately expected at some point in the near future, then we could see a boost and return to form for the Ghana captain – but at this stage losing Kudus appears something more manageable if this season continues in the fashion it has been.
