The result saw Rob Page's men progress on goal difference in second spot in Group A to set up a last 16 clash against Denmark in Amsterdam on Saturday.

They are now two games away from equalling their nation's best run at a major tournament after reaching the last four at Euro 2016.

Manchester United youngster Levitt, 20, who has nine caps, said: “It is amazing.

"We just want to repeat 2016.

“It is every boy's dream to do that.

“With the players we have got, we think we have enough quality to do that and go far in this tournament."

He added: “I was just amazed to get on.

“It is something for me to build on now personally.

“To play in a major tournament for your country is an amazing feeling.

“I think the result despite all their fans , the stadium and the red card, I thought we dealt with it very well."
