Manchester United are aiming to bolster their full-back department and are targeting one of Turkey’s best players.
According to Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, the Red Devils are interested in signing Fenerbahce star Ferdi Kadioglu.
The club are yet to make an official offer to the Super Lig outfit, but he is currently on their shortlist.
United will meet the player’s representatives in the coming days to discuss the possibility of a transfer.
The 24-year-old was heavily linked with Arsenal last month after they agreed personal terms with him. Fenerbahce could sanction his sale for £30 million.
The Turkey international started his career as an attacking midfielder and a winger, but he has transitioned into a regular full-back.
The right-footed star can comfortably operate on either side of the back four, but he made 42 appearances at left-back last term.
Kadioglu showed his class at the 2024 European Championship with a passing accuracy of almost 87 percent.
He also won 66 percent of his duels and made 3.6 tackles, five recoveries and two clearances per game.
Kadioglu is well suited to operate as an inverted full-back on either flank He could be the ideal back-up for the injury-plagued Luke Shaw.
He could also compete for places with Diogo Dalot at right-back with Aaron Wan-Bissaka tipped to leave. Fenerbahce could demand more than £30m on the back of his Euro 2024 displays.
