Manchester United coach Neil Wood says his players are relishing tonight's opening EFL Trophy tie.

United U21s kickoff their campaign against Lincoln City.

Wood said, "It's a great challenge this tournament. The players love competing in it.

"We've done really well in the last two years, just to qualify and to get into the knock-out stages, but have been unlucky. Hopefully, we can go and show what we can do.

"It'll be a real challenge to get anything out of the games, but hopefully we'll do well and go a bit further than we have done in the past."
