Manchester United have triggered their option to extend Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s contract.

According to the Athletic’s David Ornstein, Old Trafford chiefs made the move ahead of the right-back’s deal expiring this summer.

Wan-Bissaka has made 15 appearances for the Red Devils in all competitions after overcoming a hamstring injury that sidelined him for a month.

The 26-year-old initially struggled under Erik ten Hag before re-establishing himself as an automatic choice midway through the previous campaign.

He becomes the second United player to see his stay extended until summer 2025 following defensive cohort Victor Lindelöf’s renewal last month.

But Ornstein claims that the 20-time English champions do not intent to offer a similar courtesy to Anthony Martial ahead of his contract expiry in June.
