Jadon Sancho had reportedly attracted interest from two Champions League-qualified clubs this summer — until his agents got involved.

Indeed, the Manchester United outcast, according to Italian outlet Gazzetta, had found himself on the shortlists of both Atletico Madrid and Juventus amid his ongoing exile at Old Trafford.

The two sides ultimately opted against making official bids for Sancho, with his agents said to have ‘frightened [them] off’ with their commission demands. Now, he has just two weeks to find a club willing to take him on board, or else risk spending the best part of 2025/2026 in United’s reserves.

Where will Jadon Sancho end up before deadline day?

AS Roma have been actively trying to negotiate Sancho’s arrival for the last week and have even received the full green light from United that they are ready to sign off on a £20 million agreement. However, it was claimed on Monday that the 25-year-old was uninterested in making the switch to the Stadio Olimpico and had informed the Serie A outfit’s board of such.

One lingering option for the outcast winger is Besiktas, which would see him reunite with the manager who brought him to United in 2021: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. He has closed off the prospect of joining the Turkish side for now, but would reconsider in the dying embers of the window if he has no other alternatives available.

Sancho ready to pull the curtains on a dismal United career

With every passing season, the Reds’ decision to shell out £73 million to bring Sancho to M16 grows more ludicrous.

It’s hard to believe that a player whom Chelsea paid £5m not to sign was once deemed one of the most exhilarating young talents in world football.

When he does eventually part ways with United, he will leave with a measly record of just 12 goals and six assists to his name in 83 appearances.
