Manchester United have received a huge injury boost ahead of Ruben Amorim’s debut in the Premier League.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Dan Gore has returned to training after recovering from his injury and could leave on loan in January.
Gore is poised to feature in a behind-closed-doors encounter with Middlesbrough this week. He is also expected to play for the Under-21s against West Ham United later this month.
The 20-year-old will aim to get more minutes under his belt next month before leaving on a six-month loan in January.
He secured a loan move to Port Vale last winter but injured himself in his first appearance for the club.
Gore will be eager to return to action and show why he is one of the most highly regarded youngsters at the club.
He debuted for United’s first team against Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup last year.
The starlet is aggressive in midfield and plays with the intensity Ruben Amorim wants in his players.
Gore could be an ideal fit for the midfield pivot if he continues to develop.
A loan move in January would be an excellent option for the youngster. He must aim to put in starring performances and catch Amorim’s attention.
Christian Eriksen is in the final year of his contract at United and is expected to leave next summer.
He still has the creative vision to distribute the ball but lacks the dynamism needed to thrive under Amorim.
If Gore can prove his worth, the new manager may use him as a direct replacement next season.
