The man of the moment, on the pitch at least, Cristiano Ronaldo is with the Manchester United squad for today’s game against Crystal Palace.

It is unknown at this point if the Portugal international sustained an injury on Thursday night in the 3-2 win over Arsenal, but reports picked up on how he was replaced by Anthony Martial in the 88th minute by suggesting the United star injured himself mid celebration – following his second goal.

However, Ronaldo arrived at The Lowry Hotel with the rest of the squad on Saturday evening, as per the Manchester United Evening, so it doesn’t look like it was anything serious.

This puts him in contention to start Ralf Rangnick’s first game as manager.

In addition to Ronaldo’s presence, Nemanja Matic and Aaron Wan-Bissaka return from their injuries, but Raphael Varane, Edinson Cavani and Paul Pogba remain out.

United squad members to face Crystal Palace via MEN: David de Gea, Dean Henderson, Tom Heaton, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Diogo Dalot, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Eric Bailly, Phil Jones, Alex Telles, Scott McTominay, Nemanja Matic, Fred, Donny van de Beek, Bruno Fernandes, Juan Mata, Amad, Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford, Cristiano Ronaldo, Anthony Elanga, Mason Greenwood.

There are whispers that Rangnick will opt for a 4-3-3 formation, so stay tuned for updates throughout the morning. We will have the confirmed line-up on the blog at approximately 1pm.
