Cristiano Ronaldo scored a late double to secure Portugal victory over the Republic of Ireland on Wednesday.
The 36-year-old, who returned to Manchester United this week, netted in the 89th and 96th minutes to cancel out John Egan's first half header.
The two goals saw Ronaldo take his tally to 111 goals in the all-time international list, two ahead of former Iran striker Ali Daei.
Portugal are now top of Group A in the World Cup qualifiers, while Ireland remain pointless after 3 games.
"I'm so happy, not just because I beat the record, but for the special moment that we had," Ronaldo said after the game.
"I have to appreciate what the team did, we believed until the end. I'm so glad."
