According to The Guardian, players at the club like Solskjaer but feel he’s not up to the task tactically. They are said to be questioning whether he can further lead the team. As per the report, dressing-room sources have revealed that the defeat to Liverpool has crystallised a lack of belief in Solskjaer.
Furthermore, the club is now said to be seriously considering Solskjaer’s future at the club, with a decision on his position possibly coming later on Monday.
It’s specified that no formal contact has been made with Antonio Conte and although he has reservations about taking a job mid-season, he would welcome the talks.
