Manchester United travel to the south coast this weekend looking to build some momentum in the wake of Monday night's 3-0 win over Brentford in their final home game of the season.

That performance, which was one of the team's best in months, may have come too little too late to kickstart some late season form. United still trail fourth place Arsenal by five points in the hunt for Champions League qualification and have played two games more.

All Ralf Rangnick's side can do now is end the season on a high and hope for a few slip ups elsewhere.

David de Gea (GK) - Has had to deal with a lot this season but kept his first clean sheet since late February when United played Brentford.

Diogo Dalot (RB) - Would be expected to keep his starting place despite Aaron Wan-Bissaka returning to training this week.

Raphael Varane (CB) - Scored his first United goal on Monday night but fans still probably haven't seen the Frenchman at his best in a stop-start season.

Victor Lindelof (CB) - The Swede could continue to keep Harry Maguire out of the lineup, even if the captain is fit enough to the squad as is likely.

Alex Telles (LB) - Continues to start on the left, with Luke Shaw a doubt to return to fitness before the end of the season.

Scott McTominay (CM) - Likely to have strong competition for his place come next season, although seems to be one of the few in the squad really prepared to fight for the cause.

Fred (CM) - Challenging for a place back in the team after coming off the bench against Brentford following a four-game absence with a hip problem.

Bruno Fernandes (AM) - Hasn't hit the same heights as last season and his role has arguably changed since the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo, with less focus on goals.

Anthony Elanga (RW) - Has grabbed his opportunity with both hands and it seems like this starting place is his to lose for now. Would love to get on the score-sheet again before the season ends.

Cristiano Ronaldo (ST) - A slump in the middle of the season is well and truly behind him. His game is very different to how it was at the age of 24 when he left, but still knows how to make an impact.
