Manchester United have offered to treble the wages offered to Vitor Roque by Barcelona and are ‘willing to travel to finalise the transfer’, along with Tottenham.

Barcelona agreed a deal of €30m plus €20m in bonuses with Athletico Paranaense for the transfer of Roque, but the director of the Brazilian club, Alexandre Mattos, has apparently become frustrated with the time it’s taking for the Catalans to send the necessary documents.

Should they fail to do so, Athletico Paranaense will open the door to offers from other clubs.

Chelsea and Newcastle have been linked, but the report claims Man Utd, Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain are the clubs most keenly aware of the situation.

The trio of clubs ‘do not stop calling’ and are ‘willing to travel to finalise the transfer’ of the striker as they look to take advantage of the situation.

It’s further added that United, Spurs and PSG would be willing to triple the salary offered to Roque by Barcelona, which is thought to be around €3.5m in his first season at the Nou Camp.

Roque could be an alternative to Rasmus Hojlund, who is thought to be Erik ten Hag’s preferred choice to lead the Man Utd line next season.

that the Premier League side had seen an opening offer of £30m rejected with Man Utd set to make a fresh offer of £40m (€46m).

However, Italian publication Corriere di Bergamo insist that Atalanta ‘will refuse this offer’ with the Serie A side still holding out for €60m for the Denmark international.

It now ‘seems inevitable’ that the 20-year-old will be sold this summer with the report adding that the €14m gap in valuation could be overcome ‘in a couple of Sundays’.

, despite Atalanta’s refusal to do business at a lower price, with the Red Devils ‘willing to do anything’ to secure the transfer.
