Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic has paid tribute to Benfica coach Jorge Jesus.
Matic played for Jorge Jesus at Benfica.
He told Sport TV: "Jesus marked me a lot, he was a very important coach, with whom I grew a lot as a player and as a person. That I will never forget. He is a high level coach and I miss him.
"If I have time, I will come back to pay him a dinner because he deserves it.
"I was very happy at Benfica, one of the best clubs in the world. I was very happy with the team, with the fans, with the people of the club and I always like to go through Lisbon. My family likes the city a lot, we miss them a lot."
In Luz, Matic was a teammate of Rúben Amorim, current Sporting coach and also remembers him positively.
"I saw some games when he started at Braga and I saw that he had quality. He's a great coach and I really like him as a person. When I arrived in Lisbon I didn't speak Portuguese and he helped me a lot by speaking English. I want him to be very successful," he added.
