Andreas Christensen takes the ball past an opponent.
Premier League side Man Utd have made an offer to sign Barcelona defender Andreas Christensen, according to reports in Spain.
The Red Devils sealed the signing of Mason Mount and Andre Onana from Chelsea and Inter Milan respectively earlier this summer, while the Premier League club announced the £72m capture of Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund yesterday.
And, once they’ve offloaded some squad players, reports claim Man Utd will look to sign centre-back and midfielder before the end of the transfer window.

Sofyan Amrabat is believed to be their main midfield target with a report expecting their interest to ‘accelerate soon’ in the Fiorentina man.
A clear top target is yet to emerge as Erik ten Hag looks for a centre-back with reports that Everton, West Ham and Tottenham are all keen on signing Harry Maguire this summer.
And now former Chelsea defender Christensen could take Maguire’s place with Man Utd reportedly bidding for the Denmark international.
Spanish publication Nacional claims that the Red Devils have made an ‘offer’ worth €50m (£43m) for Christensen with €30m fixed and €15m in variables.
Barcelona had previously considered the 27-year-old ‘non-transferable’ but now they are open to selling for €50m – but the proposal from Man Utd doesn’t meet their demands as the Catalan giants want the whole fee to be fixed.
The La Liga side will ‘only accept’ for those terms as Barcelona plan to reinvest the money into their attempts to sign Joao Cancelo and Bernardo Silva from Man City this summer.
Man Utd’s bid for Christensen comes after it was reported in the Spanish press last week that Liverpool had upped their bid for the Dane to €50m after having an initial €30m bid rejected.
The Red Devils beat Lens 3-1 in a pre-season friendly at Old Trafford on Saturday with new signing Onana making his first outing at Old Trafford since joining.
On playing at Old Trafford, Onana told the club’s official website: “A great experience, I’m so happy for my first game here, my [home] debut, and I’m proud of the work of the team,” Onana said.
“It was a great welcome for me, it was very warm. I’m happy, especially with the victory today, it’s important. Now, we have to get ready for the coming games.”
On the match, Onana added: “We can always be better.I’m responsible for everything, especially when it comes to the goals [we concede]. I’m proud of what my defenders did.
“I’m the big man at the back, so I take all the critics, all the pressure. It was a great game – for me, for the guys. We scored important goals and I’m happy with everything.
“It’s important to play games, win games, keep the ball, keep good pressure. I think we are one of the best teams in the world, so we just have to show it on the pitch.”
