Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is still furious at the fixture pile up his side is experiencing this week.

United played against Aston Villa in the Premier League on Sunday, winning 3-1.

They fell to a 2-1 home defeat against Leicester City on Tuesday, making ten changes from the team that took on Villa just two days ago.

Now they face Liverpool at home on Thursday.

Solskjaer told reporters post-game, per the club website: "It can't be like this again. You can't play Thursday, Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday - it is impossible.

"So that's the reason why we had to make these changes because it is unheard of.

"I say it again, if this game was tomorrow, no problem and if we have another game on Saturday.

"If you have two days in between, there is no problem but this is impossible for the players to perform at this level Thursday night, Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday.

"It is impossible."
