Diogo Dalot has confirmed that he is enjoying his time so far as a new AC Milan player as he gets ready for his second start in the Rossoneri shirt.

The Rossoneri secured Dalot as their final signing of the summer late in the window, as the Portuguese full-back arrived on a season-long dry loan deal from United.

Dalot was interviewed by Sky before the game, in which he will start as the left-back having been given the nod on the opposite flank last week against Celtic.

“When you play in Europe it’s always a pride, then doing it with a club like Milan is a double pleasure. It’s a pleasure to be part of this group and to play in the Europa League,” he said (via MilanNews).

It was well documented upon his arrival that Dalot can play either on his more natural right side or as an inverted full-back on the left, and that allows Theo Hernandez to get some much-needed rest.

“Playing left or right is the same for me, I play where the coach asks me,” the former Porto man added.

On his start to life at Milan, he concluded: “It’s all fantastic, my team-mates welcomed me very well, so it’s easy to adapt.”

Fabrizio Romano reported for Calciomercato.com earlier in the month that Milan are convinced that they have made a great coup in Dalot, who got up to speed and ready to play in quick time. There have been suggestions about his loan being made permanent, and those comments certainly do not extinguish the possibility.
