Man Utd legend Rooney responds to Ronaldo 'jealous' comment

Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney says anybody would be jealous of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Rooney stated on Sky Sports this week that Ronaldo's move to Old Trafford had not gone as planned, adding the club need "young, hungry players" going forward.

Ronaldo responded on an Instagram photo of Rooney, Jamie Carragher and David Jones by commenting: "Two jealous."

Speaking at a Derby pre-match press conference, Rooney said: "I saw that this morning! I would probably say that there is not a footballer on the planet who is not jealous of Cristiano!

"The career he has had, the trophies he has won, the money he has earned…and the six-pack, his body. I think every player bar Lionel Messi is jealous of Cristiano!"
