Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney made his debut as DC United head coach in the MLS.
Rooney, who departed Derby County at the end of last season, starred for the Washington, DC based team near the end of his playing days.
Now he is back as a coach, with DC United beating Orlando City 2-1 on Sunday, with both goals coming in stoppage time for the hosts.
Rooney has been with the team since earlier in July, but had to wait for his official work visa to come through.
However, all the relevant documents went through, which means he was on the sidelines as DC United overcame a 1-0 deficit to eventually defeat Orlando City.
Rooney replaced interim manager Chad Ashton at the MLS club.
