Man Utd hero Neville tells Ronaldo: Stand up now and speak

Manchester United hero Gary Neville is urging Cristiano Ronaldo to go public about his plans for the season.

Ronaldo has declared he will lift the lid on the "truth" relating to his transfer stand-off with United in a bombshell interview "in a couple (of) weeks".

This comes after multiple reports that the 37-year-old is desperate for a move away from Old Trafford this summer and wants to join a club that can offer Champions League football.

Former teammate Neville reacted, declaring: "Why does the greatest player of all time (in my opinion) have to wait two weeks to tell Manchester United fans the truth? Stand up now and speak.

"The club is in crisis and it needs leaders to lead. He's the only one who can grab this situation by the scruff of the neck."
