Manchester United have spent big money during the summer transfer window and could continue their spree before the transfer deadline this month.
The Red Devils are interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte and there is optimism they can strike a deal by August 30.
The club are also likely to recoup funds from player sales, and the Manchester Evening News claims that Will Fish is expected to join Cardiff City in the coming days.
The 21-year-old spent the previous campaign on loan with Hibernian where he made 45 appearances.
He suffered an unfortunate injury against Liverpool in pre-season this summer, but he has recovered in time to secure a move to the Bluebirds.
Fish made his first-team debut for United at the age of 17 under manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. He has since failed to make another competitive appearance.
The youngster has been part of pre-season preparation in recent years, but he still has to develop his game to become a Premier League-based player.
United have made the right decision to sell him to Cardiff. Fish should be guaranteed regular playing time in the Championship.
Hopefully, the Red Devils can benefit in the future. The club will likely include a significant sell-on clause and a possible buy-back option in the deal.
Fish would not have benefitted from staying at United with the competition from Lisandro Martinez, Matthijs de Ligt, Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof and Jonny Evans.
