In yet another bewildering decision from this current Rangers regime, the board is to appoint a Tory as chairman and a Man Utd flop as Chief Executive.
Having stumbled around in the dark for 6 months looking for a CEO and Chairman, the club has found ex-Man Utd interim CE Patrick Stewart, who presided for a year during the Glazer era, and Tory lord Malcolm Offord as Chairman.
Because, as the shambolic appointment of ex-Northern Ireland counsellor David Graham as Communications Officer taught us, giving a politician a role at Ibrox works brilliantly every time.
This bewildering Rangers hierarchy is abysmal – most readers know Ibrox Noise have been a lot more generous with the board than many, but Nils Koppen to Technical Director, a Man Utd fail as CEO and some Tory donor as chairman?
It’s a lucky dip randomer of ‘who can we find, who’s available’, and the tail has been pinned on the donkey’s face.
Within a month it could well be the case that the idiotic Philippe Clement is our manager, the hapless Nils Koppen is the Technical Director, a Man Utd fail is running the whole club, and a Tory lord donor guy is now the chairman.
If ever anything felt right back to 2012-2015 and Mike Ashley and the Llambias era, these appointments are it.
This is an ugly, ugly era for Rangers fans, seeing this calibre of man running our club – four absolute clown fails who haven’t a clue about Rangers or what our club means.
If these guys are in control of our club, we’ll need a lot more than Dave King’s ego to save us.
