Man Utd duo return to team training

Manchester United have received a boost on Tuesday with Mason Mount and Raphaël Varane both back in team training.

Varane has not featured since August, with United conceding three times against Arsenal and four times against Brighton without the Frenchman.

Mason Mount was also back having missed the team's last three games.

It remains to be seen whether or not the pair will be involved as United play Bayern Munich on Wednesday but the news is a boost for Erik ten Hag, who is under pressure amid a poor run of results.

United have lost three of their last four Premier League games, making it the club's worst start to a league campaign since 1989.

Right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka has joined Luke Shaw on the sidelines, while this week's game will still come too soon for on-loan midfielder Sofyan Amrabat as he waits to make his debut for the club.
