Manchester United football director John Murtough has certainly experienced a challenging start to his tenure at the club.
With the backdrop of the European Super League debacle and anti-Glazer protests among fans, Murtough has needed to work hard to secure new signings for United.
According to the Manchester Evening News, he may be close to securing three of the key priorities put to him by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Jadon Sancho has arrived from Borussia Dortmund, while United are keen to secure Raphael Varane from Real Madrid to partner Harry Maguire in central defence.
One issue remains - the future of midfielder Paul Pogba.
The Frenchman has a year left on his contract and United must decide whether to cash in or convince him to sign a new deal.
