Manchester United are said to be ‘braced for bids’ for Diogo Dalot this summer following the full-back’s loan spell with AC Milan.

Dalot signed for Milan on loan in search of regular first-team football after falling out of favour under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the arrival of Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace in 2019 having provided the right-back a significant obstacle to regular minutes.

The 22-year-old has made 29 appearances in all competitions for the Italian side, though has struggled for regular starts and made just his 10th league start against Benevento last weekend.

Despite his sporadic involvement, the Sun are reporting Milan are keen to sign the defender on a permanent basis with a fee of around £15m mooted for a player not in the Red Devils’ plans.

Dalot is understood to be prepared to ‘explore his options’ at the end of the season as he seeks to secure regular minutes.

United will hope to use the funds raised through his sale to bring in a number of targets this summer with Solskjaer and his recruitment staff having been linked with the additions of a defender, central midfielder, right winger and a striker.
