United were four goals down at half-time in the clash, and were unable to muster a second-half comeback.

According to the Manchester Evening News, ten Hag still believes new signing Lisandro Martinez is his ideal left-sided centre-back, despite being hooked at half-time against the Cherries.

The source adds that Maguire is the one who may make way for the Liverpool game on Monday.

French international Raphael Varane is almost certain to start against the Anfield club.
